Living in Los Angeles, it's very rare that I see rainfall. That's one of the major keys I miss about living back home in Atlanta - seasons. There's something about the rain that brings a sense of peacefulness.
If you let yourself immerse into it's sound, it can levitate your mind into an ascension beyond measure. The gentle tapping on the roof and windowpane, the package of coolness in the air and gloom in the clouds.
Rain boots, scarves, oversized sweats and trench coats. Dodging the edge of the sidewalk to avoid the splash caused by the taxi driver you just fetched to take you to your favorite corner coffee shop.
Or bringing a sense of calm to an otherwise bustling city. Staying in to order takeout, your favorite chinese, while searching for your favorite film on Netflix. Not realizing that you're already in one, because rain is a movie.
Rain, rain, don't go away. Stay again for another day.
